Abstract

This study investigates the integration of computer-aided design (CAD), a technology for creating digital drawings and models, into art education to enhance creativity and improve teaching quality. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach with a cohort of 150 students, the results demonstrate significant advancements in creativity (a 33.3% increase), engagement (a 40.6% increase), and technical skills (90% of students achieved basic CAD proficiency). Challenges such as technical difficulties and resistance to change were mitigated through the provision of extended tutorials and peer mentoring programs. The study recommends implementing interdisciplinary projects, workshops, and industry partnerships to bridge the gap between traditional artistic methods and contemporary design practices. These strategies aim to equip students with the necessary skills for the evolving design industry. These findings provide actionable insights for advancing art education by integrating CAD tools to foster innovation, adaptability, and practical skills training for the next generation of creative designers.
