La máquina de escribir como objeto mágico en "El amor de las luciérnagas" de Alejandro Ricaño

Abstract

En este artículo se analizará El amor de las luciérnagas (2012), del dramaturgo mexicano Alejandro Ricaño, en específico, cómo una vieja máquina de escribir olvidada en una ciudad noruega logra crear, a partir de lo que se escribe en ella, una doble de la protagonista María. La escritura y la construcción del drama sobre el escenario son procesos de realización de mundos ficcionales; en el teatro las palabras colocarán signos (objetos y acciones) en el espacio dramático que el lector/espectador podrá ver o aceptar su aparición aunque no estén físicamente, como es el caso de la doble. Por lo tanto, en esta obra, un objeto cotidiano, la máquina de escribir mágica, sería una metáfora sobre la creación de posibilidades dentro de la literatura y el teatro al establecer sucesos verosímiles y mágicos dentro de la obra.

In this article El amor de las luciérnagas(2012) by playwright Alejandro Ricaño will be analyzed, specifically, how an old typewriter, forgotten in a Norwegian city, manages to create, based on what is written in it, a double of the main character, Maria. The writing and the construction of drama on the stage are world creation processes; in theater, words set signs (objects and actions) in the drama space for the reader/spectator to watch and accept its appearance even if they are not physically there, like in this case, the double. Therefore, in this play, an everyday item like the magic typewriter, would be a metaphor of the creation of possibilities within literature and theater by establishing credible and magical events.
