Abstract

The aim of this study is to characterize bibliographically and socio-critically a corpus of books that retell traditional stories of indigenous peoples of Chile in editions for children and adolescents from 2000 onwards. [...]a corpus of 57 books was obtained. Female authors predominate, as well as independent, capital-based publishers specialized in children's books. Key Words: Latin American literature, Childhood, adolescence, oral tradition, cultural identity, children's books.
