ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,389,193, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to TOYOTA JIDOSHA K.K. (Toyota, Japan).
"Data collection device, data collection method, and data collection system" was invented by Hiroaki Kodera (Susono, Japan), Yoichiro Isami (Mishima, Japan), Kotoru Sato (Susono, Japan), Takashi Hayashi (Nagoya, Japan) and Naohiro Seo (Shizuoka-ken, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A data collection device collects data in a predetermined target area by using a plurality of mobile bodies that is able to move within the target area and acquire data. The data collection device includes: an information acquisition unit that acquires area information regarding the target area; and a mobile body management unit that changes a collection location of the data based on the area information and that dispatches at least one mobile body among the mobile bodies to a specific location in the target area associated with the area information."
The patent was filed on May 19, 2022, under Application No. 17/748,194.
