Reese Witherspoon is talking about her second pregnancy, but she could just as easily be referring to Legally Blonde 2: Red, White& Blonde, the sequel to her 2001 runaway success which made its debut in pole position at the US box office and confirmed Witherspoon as the only actress of her generation with the ability to open a film on the strength of her name alone.
The return of Mr Schwarznegger as the Terminator kept her sequel from repeating the trick, but well on its way to that $100million mark, it's proof she remains firmly at the top of her game.
But, despite what critics say, she's firmly resisting those 'new Julia Roberts' tags.
'Julia Roberts is alive and well and doing just fine,' she declares. 'I still want to see the next Julia Roberts movie and she is by no means somebody who needs to be replaced.' To be fair, Witherspoon's still got a way to go before she's in quite the same box office league, but taking on the title of executive producer as well as the star of Legally Blonde 2 shows she's becoming no less hands-on in shaping her career path.
