Abstract

It is our great pleasure to present the proceedings of the 2025 2nd International Conference on Power System Engineering and Smart Grid (PSESG 2025), successfully held in Chengdu, China, from June 6th to 8th, 2025. This conference was convened to address critical challenges and foster innovation in the rapidly evolving fields of Power System Engineering and Smart Grids. PSESG 2025 achieved its core objectives: facilitating vibrant discussions on outstanding issues, disseminating cutting-edge research results, promoting the development of applications, advancing disciplinary construction, and nurturing future talent. We were honored to host a distinguished gathering of international experts, scholars, engineers, and practitioners who shared this commitment.

The technical scope of PSESG 2025 was comprehensive, encompassing both foundational and emerging themes. Key areas included:

• Power System Engineering: Power transmission & distribution systems & equipment, relay protection, automation, power quality analysis & monitoring, system planning & scheduling & reliability, electrical circuits & energy systems, fault analysis & diagnosis, electromagnetic compatibility, hydroelectric systems, system analysis/operation/control, security defense, restoration control, and high voltage engineering.

• Smart Grids: Microgrids, Energy Internet, Distributed Grids, Intelligent Dispatch, Electrical Component Networks, Power & Energy Systems, Large Grid Stability Control, Energy Storage Integration, Smart Distribution & Microgrids, Architecture & Design Methods, Wide-area protection/communication/control, Smart Grid monitoring/control, and multi-domain applications. The conference was further elevated by insightful keynote presentations from leading experts:

• Prof. Zhang Yiming (Fuzhou University) on integrated technologies for wired and wireless EV charging systems.

• Prof. Shen Yongpeng (Zhengzhou University of Light Industry) on high-efficiency, high-reliability control and management of PV-storage systems.

• Prof. Zheng Xin (Fuzhou University) on early detection and location of short-circuit faults in AC microgrids.

• Prof. Gao Weinan (Northeastern University) on integrated learning and adaptive optimal control for connected and autonomous vehicles.

• Prof. Zhang Chaolong (Jinling Institute of Technology) on AI-driven intelligent management and control methods for lithium-ion energy storage systems.
