The Information Age, since its onset towards the middle of the 20th century, has transformed human life in incredible ways. It has bestowed amazing fruits, but has also posed new challenges. By some estimates, 90% of the world’s data was created in the last two years, while the daily data creation has reached the 350-400 exabytes (1 EB = 106 TB) mark, around the end of 2024, which is predicted to cross 450 EB, by the end of 2025.
