IT never crossed Iklim's new frontman Khairulizam Abdul Rahman's mind that he would be recording a song which he composed for Iklim's former vocalist Saleem a few years ago.
The ballad Pergimu Satu Tanda is one of the tracks featured in the pop- rock group's latest album which is of the same title.
Khairulizam, 25, or fondly known as Khir, is one of the two new members roped in by Iklim two years ago. The other, Zaini Jailani, is the band's guitarist in place of Umarul.
Khir says he wrote the song in the early 1990s when Saleem was still with the band. "I have always like Saleem's voice since the group's early years. Pergimu Satu Tanda is arranged in a style which Saleem is comfortable with and suits his voice.
