MORE direct flights from various destinations around the world are expected to come into Penang, if negotiations go according to plan.
State Tourism Action Council chairman Datuk Kee Phaik Cheen, who is also the State Exco in-charge of Culture, Arts, Tourism and Women's Development, told The Malay Mail that after Xiamen Airlines confirmed its additional twice-weekly flights into Penang, work had started to lure other airlines to make a direct stop at the Pearl of the Orient.
This includes Korean Airlines' plans for a non-stop flight from Seoul as well as participation of other airlines to have direct routes from India and Australia.
