Jorge Eduardo Rivera: motivaciones filosóficas y vitales. Tras la búsqueda de un trasfondo unitario

Abstract

El presente trabajo pretende identificar un posible núcleo temático en el pensamiento del filósofo chileno Jorge Edo. Rivera, manifestado tanto explícita como implícitamente en sus escritos, particularmente en su libro De asombros y Nostalgia. Se argumenta que dicho núcleo se estructura a partir de un conjunto de ideas agrupadas en torno a la noción de ejecutividad. Además, se sostiene que para abordar este desafío no sólo hay que poner la mirada en el contenido de su obra, sino que resulta crucial atender también a la forma en que el pensamiento abordado se expone. Esto se debe a que en los trabajos del filósofo chileno, la integración de ambos aspectos es profunda, y por ello llegan a constituirse también en una parte fundamental de su discurso filosófico.

This paper aims to identify a potential thematic core in the thought of Jorge Edo. Rivera, as it is manifested both explicitly and implicitly in his writings, particularly in his book De Asombros y Nostalgia. It is argued that this core is structured around a set of ideas centered on the notion of ‘executivity’. Moreover, it is crucial to address this challenge by not only focusing on the content of his work but also on the way in which his thoughts are presented. This is because in the works of the Chilean philosopher, the integration of both aspects is profound, and thus they also become a fundamental part of his philosophical discourse.
