JavaScript has been synonymous with building modern web applications for the past twenty years. Eventdriven architecture has predominantly been followed to achieve a native app-like experience in the browser. However, scalability becomes a challenge with this architecture as the size of the application increases proportionally with the amount of code written. Frameworks built on top of JavaScript have addressed many issues, yet they introduce complexity and significantly increase the size of the application due to build tooling, dependencies, and polyfills. Amp.js offers a declarative approach to creating data-driven applications by separating concerns. It leverages Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) templates with tagged template literals to construct reactive user interfaces. The view layer is efficiently bound to the model of the system, enabling twoway data binding for Document Object Model (DOM) updates. Security vulnerabilities arise when JavaScript fails to handle data securely. DOM-based attacks occur when the browser passes attacker-controlled values, known as sources, into vulnerable functions, known as sinks. 5G, the next-generation network technology, profoundly impacts web applications, offering faster and smarter communication environments. Its advantages include highspeed wireless connectivity and rapid response times.
