GLAM rock - fab wasn't it? Velvet Goldmine certainly thinks so. Todd Haynes's cosmic paean to the era of metal gurus and dreamy ladies is undoubtedly the movie of the moment but it wasn't all pansexual bliss and androgynous abandon back then. Indeed, much of it was hell in hot pants, as a gander at the following Top Five Glam Atrocities will testify.
