Abstract

Este estudio analizó la influencia de semáforos inteligentes en la seguridad vial y el tráfico urbano, basándose en investigaciones previas sobre la integración de los gemelos digitales y tecnologías emergentes. Se aplico un enfoque cualitativo con diseño documental. Los resultados demostraron que los semáforos modernos mejoran significativamente la seguridad vial y reducen accidentes. No obstante, persisten desafíos como la complejidad computacional y la adaptación del usuario. Por ello, para futuras investigaciones se requieren abordar estas limitaciones y maximizar el potencial de los semáforos inteligentes en entornos urbanos.

This study analyzed the influence of intelligent traffic lights on road safety and urban traffic, based on previous research on the integration of digital twins and emerging technologies. A qualitative approach with documentary design was applied. The results showed that modern traffic lights significantly improve road safety and reduce accidents. However, challenges such as computational complexity and user adaptation remain. Therefore, future research needs to address these limitations and maximize the potential of intelligent traffic lights in urban environments.
