AUSSIE defender Scott MacNicol last night gave the thumbs up to Dunfermline's experimental earphones.
He wore the high-tech device, designed to improve communication between coaches and players, in an Under-21 game against Kilmarnock at East End Park on Monday.
And MacNicol, who sported a head bandage to keep the earphone in place, revealed his team-mates had labelled him RAMBO.
The 20-year-old Under-21 captain said: "The boys thought it was quite funny, what with that big bandage wrapped round my head.
"In fact, they were calling me Rambo. Some even asked me what radio station I was listening to.
"I had the bandage on to keep the earphone in place but it was a bit uncomfortable so I took if off after 20 minutes."
Weird The project has been given the goahead by FIFA, and Dunfermline, who are also playing on an experimental plastic pitch, are happy to take part.
