Producción científica sobre el uso de la inteligencia artificial en la educación superior en Latinoamérica

Abstract

En los próximos años, se estima que la inteligencia artificial (IA) tendrá un papel decisivo en el campo educativo en la transformación de los métodos de enseñanza y aprendizaje, La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la producción científica sobre el uso de la IA en el contexto de la educación superior según Scopus en el período 2019-2023. Se realizó un estudio bibliométrico de literatura relevante con la finalidad de presentar una visión actualizada del conocimiento en un área o tema específico, donde se analizaron indicadores de productividad, co-ocurrencia temática e impacto. En términos generales, los temas tratados en estos estudios indican que las investigaciones sobre el uso de la IA y las tecnologías emergentes en la educación están en crecimiento acelerado, donde revistas especializadas y diversos autores han consolidado redes de colaboración en un campo en plena expansión. México encabeza la producción científica en América Latina.

In the coming years, artificial intelligence (AI) is estimated to play a decisive role in the educational field in the transformation of teaching and learning methods. This research aims to analyze the scientific production on the use of AI in the context of higher education according to Scopus in the period 2019-2023. A bibliometric study of relevant literature was carried out with the aim of presenting an updated view of knowledge in a specific area or topic, where indicators of productivity, thematic co-occurrence, and impact were analyzed. In general terms, the topics covered in these studies indicate that research on the use of AI and emerging technologies in education is growing rapidly, where specialized journals and various authors have consolidated collaboration networks in a rapidly expanding field. Mexico leads scientific production in Latin America.
