Una antigua placa de chimenea en el Museo de Palencia

Abstract

El estudio de una chapa de chimenea fechada en 1597 y con representaciones alegóricas que se conserva en el Museo de Palencia sirve de introducción para abordar un breve análisis sobre el lugar de su manufactura. A continuación se analiza la reducida presencia de este tipo de piezas de los siglos XVI-XVIII en colecciones españolas y sus posibles causas.
