Unfortunately, even the most devoted acolyte of the Material Girl would have to admit that she only got any good towards the end of the millennium. So there's a whole viscous swamp of overheated Erotica-era pap to wade through (as well as the toe-curling Don't Cry For Me Argentina) before things begin to look up. But we've all got her last two albums anyway, so unless you forgot to buy the Beautiful Stranger single when it came out, there's absolutely nothing vital here. But at least they neglected to include that painful American Pie cover.
