TOLEDO, Ohio - The transfer of power in the Mid-American Conference equates with the transfers on campus.
Last season, the MAC's West Division was better than the East. But with the West losing players like Ball State's Bonzi Wells, Toledo's Casey Shaw and Eastern Michigan's Earl Boykins and Derrick Dial, the East appears stronger this year.
And that's even before the transfers in the East are factored in.
To pair with the transfers, the East teams have 28-of-35 starters returning.
"There's some real strength on this side," said Akron Coach Dan Hipshire.
