'NEVER AGAIN' TOUR COMES TO ALBUQUERQUE
After a silence of nearly two years, Canadian metal band Kittie will be appearing at Albuquerque's Sunshine Theatre, 120 Central Ave. SW, for the sixth time at 8 p.m. Saturday. The show not only will showcase new material from Kittie's latest effort, Never Again, but it will show off the band's new lineup and thank fans for their support and undying devotion.
Having burst onto the scene when they were 14 years old, sisters Morgan and Mercedes Lander, founders of Kittie, have seen the fires of hell, the utopian heavens and everything in between. The band's ferocity is not to be confused with hapless femininity; it should instead be recognized as a driving force that has given fans, not only in the States but worldwide, a reason to believe that there is life after teenage angst.
The sisters began their recording careers in 1999 with the release of Spit and a headlining spot on the Ozzfest 2000 second stage. Kittie immediately became a force to be reckoned with. Morgan's vocals showed a promise that most bands never see.
