Fans of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture who live in East Central Illinois have three easy destinations to indulge their love for his work.

The Dana-Thomas home is a sterling example of what Wright could do when money was no object. Finished in 1904, it was built for Susan Dana, a member of a prominent Springfield political family. Wright had carte blanche to design and build the home around Dana's father's home of which one room remains, strikingly out of character with the rest of the building.
The final cost was $60,000. By contrast, decades later, it cost $800,000 to buy back one lamp Wright had designed for the home.
