Oslo, Norway With his biggest coaching job behind him, Peter Mueller has resigned from the U.S. speed skating team.
Mueller, 39, who coached Dan Jansen to an Olympic gold medal in the 1,000 meters last week, said Sunday he told U.S. Speedskating five days ago that he won't be back when his contract expires at the end of April.
"I'm just fed up with a lot of things," Mueller said. "People in positions of power aren't helping the skaters and I'm tired of dealing with them.
"When you get results, you're not appreciated. You would think that after the past three years that they would want to have you. I love speed skating. It has been my life. But I don't need...
