Justin Morgan said his decision to rest key players was vindicated after watching his Hull KR side demolish Whitehaven 74-12 in a display he described as "absolutely fantastic."
Two of the players he rested in the mid-week win over Doncaster ran the show for Rovers as both Ben Fisher and Gareth Morton scored hat-tricks.
Morgan was delighted to get through the three game fixture pile-up unscathed and paid tribute to this side's attacking attributes.
"It turned out to be a good decision to rest them," said Morgan.
"I know Ben was upset about missing out at Doncaster but I have to do what's best.
"I thought he was outstanding along with Gareth Morton. I don't think it's a coincidence they didn't play on Wednesday.
"Gareth Price had his best game for the club.
"We have a top quality squad here and it's important to inject freshness and enthusiasm into the squad.
"If we'd selected the same 17 for all three games, I'm not 100 per cent sure we'd have won all three."
Morgan was delighted to get through the three game fixture pile-up unscathed and paid tribute to this side's attacking attributes.
He said: "The win against Whitehaven has capped off a wonderful seven days for the club.
"To go on with it in the second half the way they did is a real credit to their professionalism.
"We scored some fantastic tries. Our attack and support play was very good.
"I'd say the second 40 minutes was as good as I've seen from the players at any stage this year.
"What won us the game was the period 20 minutes midway through the first half when we just kept the ball.
"In those conditions, you don't want to defend because it was too hot. Our fitness was superior because we get to train in these conditions during the day. Other teams train at night when it's cooler."
