A former team-mate of current Rovers' star Ben Fisher, [Pat Weisner] has not ruled out extending his stay at Craven Park into next season - if his loan move proves a success.
Weisner is Rovers' third capture in the last fortnight, with Wakefield's Jon Whittle and Bradford's Matty Brooks also snapped up.
Rovers' chief executive Paul Lakin believes the experience and versatility of Weisner will be crucial as the Robins prepare for the play-offs.
New signing Pat Weisner is confident Hull KR will fulfil their Super League promotion dream this season.
Rovers beat the transfer deadline to land the Australian-born player on-loan from Super League outfit Harlequins until the end of the campaign.
Weisner, 24, has plenty of experience after spells with Halifax and Leigh Centurions.
He was ineligible for today's Challenge Cup semi-final clash against St Helens, but has already set his sights on helping Rovers reach the top flight.
"Rovers are a good club and I've always enjoyed playing against them in National League One," said Weisner, who is on holiday in Biarritz in France.
"They look as though they're on the way up, so it was really easy to join.
"I'm not worried about dropping down from Super League as I think KR will get promoted. Hopefully I can help them do that.
"I've played National League One for a few years, so I know what I'm getting myself into."
Rovers have repeatedly chased the former Halifax captain over the last four months, landing their man once Harlequins brought in new coach Brian McDermott.
A former team-mate of current Rovers' star Ben Fisher, Weisner has not ruled out extending his stay at Craven Park into next season - if his loan move proves a success.
Having played only 12 times for his Super League outfit this season, the switch will also help put him in the shop window.
Weisner added: "I'm just happy to be playing and hopefully I'll play well enough to help Rovers get promoted.
"If they'd like to keep me into next season, maybe I'll stay. At the moment, it's just a case of playing well and seeing what happens."

Rovers' chief executive Paul Lakin believes the experience and versatility of Weisner will be crucial as the Robins prepare for the play-offs.
"It's been a long haul," said Lakin. "We've made two or three inquiries over the last four months.
"Harlequins have always been quite keen to keep him, but their new coach has allowed him to go out on loan. We got him in the nick of time, bearing in mind yesterday's 2pm transfer deadline.
"Pat has got a quality pedigree and he is comfortable playing half-back, hooker or loose-forward.
"He'll provide vital experience for us during the run-in to the end of the season."
