Spring Green, Wis. It likely will cost as much as $24 million, but according to the person overseeing the project, the preservation of Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin in Iowa County is an opportunity that should not be lost.
Robert Burley, preservation architect with the Taliesin Preservation Commission, reviewed the plans for restoring the Frank Lloyd Wright buildings in rural Spring Green with the Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission here recently.
The group held its monthly meeting at the newly remodeled Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center, formerly the Spring Green Restaurant. It was the first organization to meet at the center.
"Frank Lloyd Wright would be happy you're here," Burley told members of the commission. "Long-range planning was part of what he was all about."
