Hull Kr have signed Wakefield centre Jon Whittle until the end of the season.

"I'm prepared to fight for my place at Rovers," Whittle told the Mail.

Whittle will meet up with his new team-mates at Blackpool before joining them for his first training session on Tuesday.

And he knows he's going to have to work hard to win a place in Justin Morgan's squad.

"I'm prepared to fight for my place at Rovers," Whittle told the Mail.

"Just because I've come from a Super League club, it doesn't mean I'm guaranteed a place in the Rovers squad.

"I've been out of favour at Wakefield recently and I'm just looking forward to playing rugby for a good team.

"I've seen Rovers a couple of times this season and you can see they play for each other."
