Abstract

[Anne Diamond]'s snub came minutes after her last show with co-presenter Nick Owen came off the air at the Beeb's Pebble Mill studios. As she stepped up to a podium in the Good Morning conservatory, the 41-year- old personality was greeted by embarrassingly lame applause from 50 staff.

Anne and Nick reckoned they could trounce their ITV morning rivals Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan after deputising for them in 1989.
