AN EX-POLICEMAN who claimed a boozy cake tipped him over the drink- drive limit was banned - because there was no proof in the pudding.
Taxi driver Andrew Rees, 50, claimed the whisky fruit cake pushed him over the legal limit.
Magistrates told Rees to prove it by having another cake baked to the same recipe so experts could analyse the alcohol content.
