Since September 1983, Donn Edwards Miller has been program director for the Black-owned, 24-hour gospel station, WYCB. Known as the "community broadcaster," WYCB has, since its inception some 6 years ago, reached out into the community to bridge a gap that was for years unaddressed. There is a strong church community that was only serviced during the daylight hours. WYCB changed all that.
At the age of 25, Miller is perhaps the youngest program director in the area. For many his age, the responsibilities of being a program director would be too demanding. Miller eats it up. It allows him to stretch himself.
