A PIONEERING restaurant was yesterday stripped of its place in a foodies' bible, leaving Wales with just one Michelin star to its name.
Wales' first five-star restaurant with rooms, Plas Bodegroes in Pwllheli, North Wales, has been deleted from the Michelin Food Guide's 2009 list of top dining establishments.
But The Crown at Whitebrook, near Monmouth, has retained its Michelin star for the third year.
No other Welsh restaurants were honoured, but The Hardwick near Abergavenny and The Chandlery, Newport, again retained their places in the guide's Bib Gourmand (good...
