Andy Feeley at the NEC Motorbike and Scooter Show
The annual NEC Motorcycle and Scooter Show starts this week, with all the major manufacturers bringing out their new-for-2005 models.
One of the big talking points this year has been Suzuki's new exhaust system on the class-leading GSX-R 1000.
Since pictures were released of the distinctive triangular end can, the general opinion has been one of disgust, but now we can see the entire machine in the flesh.
The exhaust may be the most obvious change, but there are some pretty radical changes for next year. A new frame and restyled bodywork house a revamped engine that is reputed to pump out 175bhp at the crank, enough to keep any "Gixer" fans happy.
The Bandit, meanwhile, gets an engine capacity hike to 656cc along with an adjustable seat height to keep the old man of the class alive and well. Priced at pounds 4,330, it should...
