TORONTO -- The Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in suburban Philadelphia has graduated its first two Canadian women.
Elizabeth Bolton of Montreal and Sarra Levine of Toronto were among 13 graduates to receive the title of rabbi and a master's degree in Hebrew letters at the college's graduation ceremonies last Sunday.
The 39-year-old Rabbi Bolton, who was a well-known social activist and cantor in Toronto before heading to rabbinical school, will become the founding director of the college's new Centre for Jewish Creativity. The post was created especially for her and she...
