ROCK 'n' roll gets sassy at the Jubilee Hotel in Fortitude Valley tomorrow night when Brisbane band Grimoire join forces with the city's burlesque flagwavers (and indeed, peacock feather-waving), Lola the Vamp and Circe Fatale. (That's vamp as in saucy can't- touch-this, not fangs).
"Rock 'n' roll and burlesque can both trace their roots to sticking it to the establishment," says Grimoire front woman Vanessa Hunter (who, along with the band's bassist, Efrem, works for The Courier-Mail ). "It's the perfect partnership, really."
