FIRESONG is the final book in The Wind on Fire series. This novel is about the Manth people and their arduous journey back to their homeland. Along the way, the group of travellers overcomes great obstacles and is witness to the coming of age of several of its members.
The book begins as the Manth people, a dishevelled group, continue their journey towards their homeland. The travelling conditions are terrible; they have no food, no firewood, nor sufficient clothing to withstand an icy winter.
Adding to these troubles, bandits attack the group and take all the females to fulfil a shortage of wives, forcing the men to launch a rescue.
After similar dramas and endless hardship, the group stumbles upon a fruitless valley, inhabited only by a fat and jolly Captain...
