GREG Siegele's passion for video games began at the age of five when he first picked up a joystick.
As a 15-year-old he was installing pinball machines in corner shops and delis.
Nineteen years on, he is the chief executive of Adelaide-based Ratbag, which he co-founded, and is one of Australia's most successful developers of video games.
The name Ratbag was carefully chosen to reflect the Australian take on life, and because the owners wanted people to play their games for fun.
Mr Siegele, 34, was named last night among South Australia's entrepreneurial elite.
He joined a transport magnate, winemaker, video production specialist, rural exporter and a medical researcher as winners at the 2002 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
