AUCKLAND: The reformist government of financially stricken Nauru was yesterday returned to power, paving the way for a tough budget aimed at reversing the fortunes of the central Pacific nation.
All nine members of the previous administration led by President Ludwig Scotty retained their seats in the snap election, while seven of the nine Opposition MPs were tossed out, Radio Australia reported.
Among the new members are several who campaigned in support of the Scotty Government's reform agenda.
