TV RATINGS
RIDING on a wave of The Block-related popularity, Nine notched up its 26th week of victory, with its second biggest audience share this year and the nine most watched programs last week.
More than 3.11 million people tuned into to see the final of The Block, taking a chunk out of the audiences for the programs running against it. Viewers for Seven's The Mole, already struggling against The Block the previous week, fell from 994,530 to 843,559. The network's quiz show, Deal or No Deal was dealt a blow by the extra half-hour devoted to The Block, falling from 1.3 million to 974,739.
It was a similar story at Ten. Sunday night repeats of The Simpsons lost 95,000 viewers and Everybody Loves Raymond dropped 120,882 compared to the previous week and Australian Idol, which ran against the end of The Block and Deal or No Deal, was down from 1.45 million to 1.14 million.
