Major production
The GTP cars are set to invade Oran Park again this weekend with production-car competition in the final round of the PROCAR Series.
A full range of road-based machines are getting ready to roll (although not literally, we hope).
An overall field of over 80 cars, comprising around 25 different models, will be included in the impressive line-up.
Almost everything from Ferraris to Falcon utes and Vipers to Volkswagens will compete in the final rounds of four national series for 2001.
The Oran Park event will include the eighth rounds of the Australian Nations Cup Championship and the Century Batteries Australian GT Production Car Championship. Other races include the V8 Brutes, the Australian Formula 3 Championship, the Mitsubishi Mirage series and the NSW Holden HQ Championship.
The action starts today with practice while qualifying and races will be held on Sunday.
Ticket prices for Saturday are $15 for adults and children $10; admission on Sunday will cost adults $30 and children $15 each. A weekend ticket is $40 for adults and $20 per child, with children under 10 admitted free.

HSV also says there have been thousands of visitors from Europe, including the UK (where the cars or sold in minuscule numbers), as well as Africa and Russia.
