40 years of Australian Rock'N' Roll (Coalition Music Group)
CLASSIC songs by classic Australian bands are definitely the flavour of the
month. First, it was postage stamps featuring images from single sleeves by a
dozen rock doyens of the '50s, '60s and '70s. Not surprisingly, many of those
artists (and material), including Johnny O'Keefe (Shout), Little Pattie (He's
My Blonde-Headed Stompie Wompie . . .), Normie Rowe (Shaking All Over), Masters
Apprentices (Undecided) and Sherbet (Howzat), get another spin on this
four-disc set. As its title suggests,
40 years features 72 home-grown hits recorded since J'OK went wild in 1959.
