The Indianapolis Art Center has been providing Indianapolis residents with the opportunity to be exposed to the diverse world of art for over 66 years. The non-profit organization strives to enhance and provide the possibility of art as a lifestyle to all who wish to accept it.
"What we found is that art is a way for people to release. It makes you feel better. It is relaxing. (The art center) is the place to learn, touch, and feel, artwork. You can make art, see art, and learn about art," said Iris Dillon, director of the Broad Ripple Art Fair.
The center has many departments. There are three semesters of classes, three galleries, exhibition halls, and a library. Art is exhibited throughout the year. There's even a community outreach program.
