Revitalizing Howard's Public Service Legacy With New Initiative.
Howard University School of Law has been selected to receive the "1996 Pro Bono Publico" award for its Public Service Program initiative at the American Bar Association's Pro Bono conference, held last week in Phoenix, Arizona.
The award, which was presented by the rapidly expanding organization PBSA - "Pro Bono Students of America" - recognizes "contributions made to legal education, student professional development, the public interest community, and underserved populations by those who perform, support and supervise law students' volunteer work."
