Latino Recording Artists Rocks Z-100 Fans At MSG
The year 2000 ushered in many new and exciting innovations.
In particular, the New Year brings an unprecedented explosion of Latin music featuring a new generation of artists, schooled in mainstream pop, who are now singing and producing albums in Spanish and English.
Recently four of these pop stars appeared in concert at Madison Square Garden (MSG), in concert which was sponsored by radio station Z-100. On stage were Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias, Lennie Kravitz, Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin. Of this talented young assemblage, Martin (27) is seen as the "hottest," Jennifer Lopez (28) the "most alluring" and Iglesias (24) the sexiest.
Each has recorded on the SONY and appeared on Spanish language radio, Today, these stations are top rated in Los Angeles and New York City. Hispanics are fast becoming America's largest minority group and their new Latin-tinged sounds is the music of choice because it fits the time in which we now live.
