SOME HAVE CALLED IT GROTESQUE while others have likened it to a parking garage. Whether you agree or disagree with the critics of the architectural design of City Hall Plaza, the structure may soon be sold and razed by developers looking to capitalize on the plaza's location.
Mayor Thomas Menino announced his desire to move City Hall to a parcel of land already owned by the city, located along the edge of the Boston Harbor. In a speech Tuesday before the Boston Chamber of Commerce, Menino said this would continue the push to create a world-class waterfront.
