The Old State House Museum at 206 Washington Street has a new exhibit called "Our Favorite Things." Since 1881 the museum has collected artifacts from Boston's history but, due to space constraints, it can only exhibit three percent of the collection at a time. For this exhibit, staff members have chosen their favorite items from the stored collection and brought them out; some things are on display for the first time. See the cane used in the famous 1856 assault on Massachusetts Senator Charles Sumner in the U.S. Senate Chamber, a surgeon's saw from the Battle of Bunker Hill and a lock of Daniel Webster's hair. www.bostonhistory.org
