A fourth synagogue on the Lower East Side has been proposed for city landmark status.
The staff of the city Landmarks Preservation Commission suggested the designation for Congregation Sons of Israel Kalwarie, a much vandalized twin-towered building at 13-15 Pike St. between East Broadway and Henry Street.
The commission will consider the proposal at a public hearing in City Hall at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11.
