The Fond du Lac girls soccer team's attackers presented problems all season for Fox Valley Association coaches, and those coaches recognized several Cardinals players for their abilities on the all-FVA team.
Two seniors highlighted the list for Fond du Lac. Jessica Ruch and Ashley Nault were named to the first team.
Ruch, a forward, scored 26 goals and dished out 23 assists this season finishing her four-year career with 56 goals and 54 assists.
Nault scored 14 times this year, in addition to 20 assists. The center midfielder finished her career with 37 goals and 37 assists.
Fondy coach Greg Winkler described both as unselfish players.
"Ashley and Jess exemplified the program," he said.
Showing the team's depth up front, forward Katie Boardman (22 goals and 7 assists) and midfielder Kristen Schmitz (8 goals and 4 assists) got second team nods. Freshman defender Shelley Samuel was also named to the second team.
Senior Katie Lemke was named honorable mention as well as junior goalkeeper Brittney Rademann. Rademann and the Cardinals turned in 13 shutouts over the course of the season.
