The Working Title has always been one of Charleston's more ambitious and original bands, and a few years back when it scored a record deal, many predicted big things for singer-songwriter Joel Hamilton and the rest of the band.
While the result of that deal, "About-Face," was full of fresh and inviting music, the band ultimately didn't find the corporate music world to its liking, and soon they were back to being an independent act.
Listening to The Working Title's new CD, "Bone Island," I have to say that losing the corporate suits just might be the best thing that ever happened to the band.
To say that "Bone Island" is different from "About-Face" is a lot like saying that The Beatles' "Rubber Soul" is different from "Meet The Beatles."
