Harold Krall has resigned as president and chief executive of Cardinal Technologies Inc., a computer parts manufacturer he co-founded seven years ago as spin-off of RCA Corp.
Krall will remain chairman of Cardinal, headquartered at 1827 Freedom Road in the Greenfield Corporate Center.
"I hate to let go, in some ways, but I know I have to," Krall said. "The company is making a major transition, and it's time for a new group to take over. It's what's best."
Krall has been the firm's top executive and guiding force since it was established in February 1987. He's also its second-biggest stockholder, owning around 9 percent of the company.
The decision for Krall to step down was "made by consensus" after he met with board members to discuss the company's future, said director Donald Tortorice, managing partner of Harrisburg law firm Duane Morris & Heckscher.
