A Moorish mosque lies buried, but perfectly preserved, beneath the cathedral - a statue of the architect erected above it - and a secret entrance, in turn protected by its creator. But most important of all, he discovers a book that tells the story of the three people who were responsible for its creation and preservation 1,000 years ago.
He gradually learns the book holds the clues to their possible escape, but he also knows he must do everything he can to preserve this extraordinarily LOCAL author Christine Motley hopes her new book, Creatively Engaging With Older People In Reminiscence, will be an aid to better communication.
"It's a multi-sensory resource pack aimed at activity organisers, carers, support workers, occupational therapists and adult education tutors working with care homes, support groups, learning disabilities, sheltered housing, day centres and community e ucation groups," says Christine, who is a reminiscence facilitator and trainer, covering most of Lincolnshire.
"The 30 themes, including the household, how we used to shop, and life on the home front, each have questions and approaches to encourage communication. And the activities and memory games can help with building life stories." Published by Cupit, Pounds 18. Contact the author on 01472 348271 to find out more and obtain a copy.
