It's the day before Christmas, and if all through the house, not a note is playing, not even a sound - then something is missing.
Nothing lifts the holiday spirits faster than good music in the background, and it's not too late to go out to your favorite store and pick up a tape or compact disc as a treat for your family and houseguests.
Everyone will find something to enjoy on the 1990 Hallmark tape. It's called "Hallmark Presents Julie Andrews - Sounds of Christmas From Around the World."
In addition to Andrews, it features Christopher Parkening, the Ambrosian Boys Choir and the London Symphony Orchestra.
From the good old United States, are "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "This is Christmas," "Sleigh Ride," and a spiritual - "Sweet Little Jesus Boy."
The all-time favorite, "Silent Night," is from Austria, and "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" comes from Germany.
