The National Organizing Committee (NOC) of the three-day 12th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit set in Cebu City on December 11-13 yesterday clarified that there has never been a problem with the venues for the historic summit as reported in a newspaper (not The Manila Times).
In a statement the NOC said that as originally planned, the main venue for the meetings of the leaders of the 10 members of Asean and their meetings with their counterparts from Asean's dialogue partners has always been the posh Shangri-La Mactan's Spa and Resort on Mactan Island.
